You are responsible for the security of your account and for the accuracy of what you record in it. Choose a password you do not use elsewhere.

Verify your email address. Account recovery and emergency-access notices go to it, and both are useless if it is wrong.

Naming a trusted contact grants a real person real access to whatever you have selected. Review those grants when circumstances change — they do not expire on their own, and revoking one is immediate.

Emergency access is granted after seven days if you do not refuse it. That is the point of the mechanism; it is not a bug, and you should only mark someone emergency-only if you accept that outcome.

Recording a beneficiary here does not make them one. Allocating shares here does not constitute a will, and the arithmetic this service checks is arithmetic, not law. Nothing here substitutes for a solicitor.

This service is provided as-is. Keep your own copies of anything you could not bear to lose. Encryption means that if the key protecting your data is lost, the data is unrecoverable — by you, and by us.

You can delete anything you have recorded, and deleted items can be removed permanently from the Deleted items screen. Permanent deletion removes the encrypted file from storage and cannot be undone.
